About The Position

OMNI is seeking an experienced Satellite SETA Program Manager to support a high-priority national security space program in Chantilly, VA. This position serves as a trusted advisor to the Government Program Office, providing technical, programmatic, acquisition, and financial oversight across the development, integration, testing, and deployment of advanced satellite systems. The ideal candidate combines strong spacecraft engineering expertise with program management experience and the ability to effectively coordinate across government, SETA, and contractor organizations to ensure mission success.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 14+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 12+ years with a Master’s degree.
  • Experience supporting spacecraft design, development, integration, testing, or operations.
  • Knowledge of one or more satellite subsystems, including structures, power, thermal, propulsion, command and data handling, or attitude control systems.
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities across the full program lifecycle.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years supporting DoD or Intelligence Community satellite programs as a developer, supplier, government employee, or SETA contractor.
  • Experience with spacecraft integration and test, launch preparation, or mission operations.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes, earned value management (EVM), and contract oversight.
  • Experience supporting multiple satellite subsystems or spacecraft command and control operations.
  • Experience briefing senior government and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Government Program Office’s primary liaison for satellite subsystem development, integration, testing, and operational activities.
  • Partner with Government Program Managers to plan, execute, and oversee contractor performance throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Support acquisition activities including proposal evaluations, contract execution, CDRL reviews, and award fee assessments.
  • Monitor program budgets, contract execution, EVM metrics, obligations, and funding requirements.
  • Participate in contractor Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical reviews, and milestone events, providing independent assessments and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers, technical SMEs, and contractor teams to evaluate technical performance, schedule execution, and mission readiness.
  • Identify and communicate technical, programmatic, and schedule risks to government leadership.
  • Develop briefings, status reports, and decision-support materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Track subsystem development progress and support mission-level, enterprise-level, and program-level reviews.
