About The Position

a.i. solutions is seeking a Satellite Communications System Engineer to support the Mission System Support contract at the Blossom Point Satellite Command and Tracking Facility (BPTF). This role will support the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in sustaining mission-critical satellite command, control, tracking, and ground-system operations. Team members will contribute to the reliable operation, integration, maintenance, and advancement of systems essential to national security space missions. This role is contingent upon contract award. The Satellite Communications System Engineer will be part of a technical team and will assist with integrating new missions into the baseline, planning system upgrades, and identifying requirements and deficiencies in ground station hardware and software. This role will also assist with analyses to evaluate needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, science discipline or related field
5 years of experience with spacecraft ground stations systems and networks
Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance at time of contract award
Technical background in ground station system and subsystem design and development for spacecraft telemetry, tracking and communications

Responsibilities
