About The Position

Tutor Doctor Chandler-Gilbert-Ahwatukee is hiring SAT tutors and ACT tutors for in-home and online test prep tutoring across the East Valley. This role allows tutors to make a meaningful difference in students' lives without managing the business side of tutoring. The mission is to help prepare today's youth to become tomorrow's successful adults.

Requirements

Current college enrollment or a completed college degree.
Strong command of SAT and/or ACT content areas (math, reading, writing, science reasoning).
Background as a teacher, education professional, or test prep specialist.
High personal scores on AP exams, SAT or ACT.
Reliability, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.
Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring assignments.
Understanding of testing and pacing strategies.

Nice To Haves

Experience tutoring for platforms like Varsity Tutors, Wyzant, or learning centers like Mathnasium or Sylvan.

Responsibilities

Prepare students for SAT and ACT exams.
Adapt instruction to different learning styles and pacing needs.
Build meaningful, long-term 1:1 relationships with students.
Provide personalized instruction built around each student's actual score goals and weak areas.
Utilize provided test prep course with thousands of practice problems and practice tests.

$20–$35 per hour base pay
Up to $40 per hour for select students and specialized assignments
