About The Position
The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking an enthusiastic 2026-2027 SAS Site Director, Donelson Hermitage Area School to lead their Before and After School program. This role involves supervising staff, implementing lesson plans, and ensuring the smooth operation of the program. The director will engage children aged 5-12 in activities that support their growth and build community by connecting with parents, school staff, and YMCA teams. The YMCA provides training, ongoing professional development, and a supportive team environment.
Requirements
- Minimum Age: 21
- High school diploma + 4 years of experience working with kids in a group setting OR Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of group experience OR 36 credit hours in child development or related fields + 2 years of experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification (within 30 days)
Nice To Haves
- Ability to see and hear children clearly
- Ability to move quickly to ensure their safety
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortably spend time standing, bending, and being outdoors in changing weather
