About The Position

Now Hiring for Part-time 2026-2027 SAS Site Assistant, Afternoons - Blackman Elementary School for our School Age Programs! This is NOT a temporary or summer-only position. The pay range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on the childcare experience listed in the application or resume). The School Location is Blackman Elementary (771) Rutherford County. The shift requires availability Monday through Friday, After School Care (2pm to 6pm). Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enthusiastic, organized, and team-oriented individuals with a passion for youth development.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to multitask.
• Must be available Monday through Friday
• Must be able to commit to ongoing employment during the 2026–2027 school year
• Orientation, DHS Background Check, Fingerprinting, Abuse Registry Check, health forms, training sessions, and references before your first shift.
• CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Actively lead and engage a group of 15–20 children in activities, inside and outside.
• Set up and transform program spaces into child-friendly environments and ensure cleanliness.
• Help plan and implement a quality curriculum aligned with YMCA guidelines.
• Build positive relationships with YMCA staff, school personnel, and families.
• Ensure site licensing and quality standards are maintained.
