SAP Technical Lead
About The Position
FlowGen Labs is a frontier enterprise AI company building context-aware agents that operate within customized SAP environments. Its goal is to turn legacy ERP systems from systems of record into execution layers for finance and operations. The company serves Fortune 500 customers across CPG, distribution, high-tech, and oil and gas, and brings together AI and SAP professionals from DeepMind, SAP, Meta AI, and Amazon AGI Labs. The SAP Technical Lead defines architecture and standards and delivers solutions end to end. This hybrid generalist role combines core platform design and engineering with hands-on, customer-facing delivery. The role calls for a practical, ownership-oriented approach: translating business workflows into scalable, secure, and reliable systems, moving quickly without sacrificing quality, and learning new technologies as needed. The position is in person in the San Francisco Bay Area. Visa support and sponsorship are available.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on SAP engineering experience; most leads will have 6–10 or more years.
- Strong ABAP and ABAP OO / modern ABAP skills.
- S/4HANA migration experience and solid SAP fundamentals, including RAP and OData.
- Solid NetWeaver fundamentals, including AS ABAP, Gateway/OData provisioning, transport strategy, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with SAP BTP, including CAP on Node.js, XSUAA, Destinations, and Fiori.
- Ability to translate business workflows into scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
- Hands-on use of AI tools, with clear ideas for applying AI to development, testing, data, and support.
- Ownership mentality, clear communication, and comfort making decisions with 80 percent of the information.
- Ability to move quickly without breaking things and willingness to learn new technology stacks.
- Strong ability to learn quickly and dedication to the craft.
