About The Position
The AppleCare Finance BPR team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated SAP Solutions Architect to join our team. We work closely with Apple Care Business development, Insurance partners, Privacy and Compliance teams to understand finance needs around new product launches, geo-expansions, repair strategies, insurance regulatory requirements etc. We participate in IT deployment projects to represent AC Finance to ensure accuracy in financial treatment of AC Sales, Service, Insurance activities in SAP and Reporting systems. As the Solution Architect for AC Finance, you will represent AC Finance in multiple, parallel SAP and EDW projects with the goal of ensuring accuracy in financial treatment and reporting of AC Sales, Service, Supply Chain and Insurance activities in SAP and EDW.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with systems implementations and software development life cycle
- Proven track record of completing ambitious projects, working closely with cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities
- Possess a strong process re-engineering aptitude
- Possess strong decision-making, problem solving and prioritization skills
- Strong understanding of privacy risk, personally identifiable information classification etc.
- Super user experience or consulting experience in SAP ECC 6.0/ S4 HANA
- See beyond the current state, identify risks/opportunities and drive project teams toward the desired outcomes
- Ability to simplify sophisticated problems and issues in an easy to understand manner
- Skilled at meeting tight deadlines
- Ability to work comfortably with high level of ambiguity and complexity
Nice To Haves
- Service, support, warranty contract, and/or supply chain experience preferred
- Finance or Accounting qualification is preferred
- Good understanding of data flow between SAP and downstream systems
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with geographically-dispersed cross functional teams such as AC Business Development, AC Business Process Reengineering, Global Business Solutions, Legal, Procurement, Trade Compliance, Insurance partners etc. to understand the objective, scope and roadmap of projects involving Apple Care Finance
- Closely engage with regional and global AC Finance teams to comprehend finance business requirements and effectively translate them into technical requirements for IS&T
- Leverage finance, business and system knowledge and expertise to drive business process improvements between disparate processes and functions
- Understand diverse needs across regional stakeholders and negotiate solutions that meet overall business needs with global standardization and prioritization.
- Generate and vet possible solutions; build, test, and refine models
- Perform thorough user acceptance testing to ensure the projects meet all Finance requirements before any system changes are implemented
- Screen production support issues acting as Level 1 support for AC Finance team and working with IS&T support org to resolve the issues
- Support timely execution of projects relating to business expansion, privacy, compliance and efficiency gains
- Handle operational work relating to insurance settlement activities which can be up to 10-15% of the role
- Assess impact on AC Finance systems and accounting postings as a result of changes made to upstream processes and systems
