About The Position

As a SAP Security Specialist within our Core Banking Security team, you will serve as our dedicated technical expert safeguarding the SAP environments and systems throughout the organization. Operating as a critical extension of the Enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) team, your role focuses on embedding robust security governance, secure code execution, and advanced monitoring directly into our core banking environments. You will be responsible for validating that our SAP platforms, custom ABAP developments, and system configurations strictly align with the security, identity compliance, and regulatory standards required in a modern financial institution.

Responsibilities

Serve as the dedicated technical expert safeguarding SAP environments and systems.
Act as a critical extension of the Enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) team.
Embed robust security governance, secure code execution, and advanced monitoring into core banking environments.
Validate SAP platforms, custom ABAP developments, and system configurations against security, identity compliance, and regulatory standards.
Perform SAP Security Posture Assessments, auditing system parameters, RFC destinations, and encryption settings.
Baseline custom ABAP code quality using automated scanning tools or manual reviews.
Establish a repeatable, automated framework for secure ABAP code review within the deployment pipeline.
Remediate critical security control gaps discovered during assessments.
Standardize SAP Security Audit Log configurations across all application servers.
Define and implement specific alerting use cases (e.g., unauthorized debugging in production, critical table modifications).
Map SAP security alerts directly into the enterprise SOC/SIEM platform.
