About The Position

The SAP SD/LE/SCM Analyst provides expert-level functional support, configuration, and solution design across SAP Sales & Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE), and Supply Chain Management (SCM). The role applies consulting-level SAP experience to analyze complex business processes, design scalable solutions, lead enhancements, and partner with business users on process optimization. It supports day-to-day operations, project initiatives, system integrations, and continuous improvement across the order-to-cash and logistics lifecycle. The analyst gathers requirements, performs gap analysis, designs and configures SAP functionality, and maintains functional specifications for RICEFW objects. The position leads testing and supports integrations with external systems and internal applications. It also troubleshoots operational issues, provides end-user support and training, monitors SAP applications and reports, and maintains process and configuration documentation. Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams, the analyst translates business needs into SAP solutions and recommends process improvements. The position leads or participates in rollouts, upgrades, and optimization initiatives, collaborating with development teams to ensure enhancements, integrations, and customizations meet business objectives. The role is hybrid in Pleasantville, New York, with three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
5+ years of related professional experience supporting SAP SD/LE/SCM at a consulting level.
Deep knowledge of the retail industry.
Deep expertise in SD/LE/SCM configuration, including pricing, outputs, partner determination, delivery processing, shipping, and billing.
Strong understanding of the full order-to-cash lifecycle and related business processes.
Experience with IDocs, EDI, APIs, and SAP integration technologies.
Ability to independently lead functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with carrier/3PL integrations, transportation management, or warehouse operations.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications.
Knowledge of related modules such as FI/CO, MM, eWM/WM, and TM.
Experience in industries with complex logistics or distribution environments.
SAP certification in SD, LE, and/or SCM.

Responsibilities

Provide SAP SD/LE/SCM consulting, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and functional design.
Configure SD/LE/SCM components, including pricing, order management, delivery processing, billing, ATP, shipping, transportation, and returns.
Develop and maintain functional specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
Lead unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Support SAP integrations with external systems such as warehouse/3PL systems, EDI, and carriers, as well as internal applications.
Analyze system performance and user feedback to identify process and SAP functionality improvements.
Generate and monitor regular reports to support SAP application reliability, security, and efficiency.
Troubleshoot complex order-to-cash and logistics execution issues.
Monitor IDoc processing, pricing issues, availability checks, shipment and transportation errors, and billing discrepancies.
Provide day-to-day end-user support, issue resolution, training, and process guidance.
Maintain documentation for configuration, processes, and functional specifications.
Advise Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams and translate business needs into SAP solutions.
Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with best practices.
Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, business-focused language.
Lead and participate in SAP rollouts, upgrades, and process optimization projects.
Support cross-functional initiatives in pricing optimization, transportation improvements, warehouse automation, and customer experience.
Collaborate with development teams on enhancements, integrations, and customizations to align SAP solutions with business objectives.
