About The Position

The SAP S/4HANA Authorization Consultant designs, implements, and maintains authorization concepts, particularly for logistics processes. The role supports customers through application management services and contributes to international SAP introduction, release-change, and migration projects. It works with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to define access needs, manage roles, investigate authorization issues, and address Segregation of Duties conflicts. The position is based with Bosch Service Solutions in Timișoara; work contracts include home-office days, and international EU travel may be required at irregular intervals.

Requirements

English proficiency at C1/B2 level (fluent).
Completed degree in an IT-related field or comparable qualification.
At least 3 years of professional experience as an SAP Authorization Consultant.
Experience developing and implementing individual authorization concepts.
Strong SAP S/4HANA authorization expertise across Warehouse Management (EWM/WM), Materials Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD).
Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications, including business catalogs, services, and underlying authorizations.
Good knowledge of role development and implementation, and of module-specific authorization objects.
Confidence using common analysis tools and working with SoD conflicts.
Familiarity with SAP IDM Identity Management and S/4HANA authorizations.
Effective time management and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Excellent presentation, people management, and customer-facing communication skills.
Leadership, ownership, and accountability mindset.
Willingness to learn, take on challenges, and pursue success.
Readiness to travel internationally within the EU at irregular intervals or on individual days.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain SAP S/4HANA authorization concepts, focusing on logistics processes.
Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to define access requirements and translate them into roles and authorizations.
Provide ongoing authorization support for existing customers through application management services.
Manage user role assignments in line with approved access requests and changes in job responsibilities.
Investigate and resolve authorization issues using diagnostic and tracing tools.
Review roles and access assignments to identify Segregation of Duties (SoD) conflicts and support remediation.
Support authorization testing, role changes, and deployment activities during implementations and system updates.
Maintain documentation of authorization concepts, role designs, and access changes.
Work on international projects involving SAP introductions, release changes, and migrations.
Perform other tasks related to the area of responsibility as requested by the direct superior.
