About The Position

SAP is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cloud Architect & Advisor to join the Digital Cloud Advisory Team within the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services organization. This role is primarily in the pre-sales phase, acting as a subject matter expert and the main technical contact for customers regarding private cloud deployments under the RISE with SAP initiative. The Cloud Architect Advisor will collaborate with internal SAP teams to guide customers through their cloud transformation journey, ensuring their success with RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition. This offering integrates solutions and services for business transformation, allowing continuous transformation with SAP's support. The private edition provides a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed services, enabling customers to leverage their existing SAP ERP investments while gaining flexibility and competitive advantages. SAP facilitates these deployments in its own datacenters, with IaaS Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), SAP Premium Suppliers, or customer datacenters, offering maximum choice. This is a hybrid role based out of Newtown Square, PA, Plano, TX, Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, Alpharetta, GA, or Atlanta, GA, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.

Requirements

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration from an accredited university.
High proficiency in customer communications and presentations.
High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies).
Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment.
Good understanding of entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks).
Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one Hyperscale provider (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP).
Ability and willingness to be part of a global team of Cloud Architects.
Willingness to undertake customer-related travel on short notice.
Fluency in English; any other language is an asset (Spanish preferred).

Nice To Haves

Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role is an advantage.
Experience with SAP BTP, IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure or GCP), SAP Premium Suppliers and/or data centers is a big advantage.
Cybersecurity & Compliance expertise is an advantage.
SAP Application Lifecycle Management and/or SAP Operations experience is an advantage.
ITSM, Service Design & Delivery experience is an advantage.
SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

Present detailed technical and operational aspects of the RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition offering and managed services to customers (CIOs, IT managers, etc.).
Present technical requirements and value proposition for SAP private cloud on SAP Data Centres, Premium Suppliers, and Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Conduct technical assessment workshops with customers to define future cloud architecture and migration roadmaps with partners and System Integrators.
Guide customers on non-functional capabilities like Business Continuity, Cybersecurity & Compliance, Networking, Technical Operations, and service consumption.
Work on pricing using tools like Quote Tool and Configurator.
Collaborate with internal teams to generate pricing and provide deal support to sales teams.
Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services delivery experts as needed.
