About The Position

This role is for an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant with a strong background in discrete manufacturing industries such as Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Semiconductor Equipment, and Medical Device Manufacturing. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end implementations and production support for SAP PP/QM modules. The position requires direct interaction with business users to resolve issues and a good understanding of cross-functional integration with modules like MM. A significant portion of the role involves hands-on expertise in SAP APO-GATP, including configuration, user exits, and integration with various business processes.

Requirements

• Experience in Discrete manufacturing industry (Automotive, Heavy equipment, semiconductor equipment, medical device manufacturing).
• At least one end-to-end implementation experience in PP/QM modules of SAP.
• Experience in PP with Make-to-order scenarios and Variant Configuration.
• Knowledge of QM in procurement, process QM, production GR QM, and quality notifications.
• Knowledge of PP/QM integration to EWM.
• Overall experience of around 10 years.
• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning and SAP QM.
• Experience in production support projects.
• Experience in working directly with business users and resolving their issues.
• Good cross-functional integration knowledge with other modules like MM.
• Hands-on expertise/exposure in design, development, deployment & maintenance of complex IT planning / ATP solutions.
• At least 7+ years of experience working in the GATP area.
• At least 2 implementation projects in GATP.
• Hands-on experience configuring the GATP system.
• Familiarity with user exits in the GATP area.
• Extensive business process knowledge of multiple Order scenarios, Order promising, third-party order shipments, intercompany business processes and integration to other functional areas is mandatory.
• Familiarity with system aspects related to Order Creation, fulfillment, Order Processing, Transportation Scheduling and CIF technologies.

Nice To Haves

• Debugging skills in ABAP.
• SAP SCM (APO) functional analyst experience.
• SAP SCM (APO) and SD integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end implementations in PP/QM modules of SAP.
• Provide production support for SAP PP/QM modules.
• Work directly with business users to understand their needs and resolve issues.
• Configure and maintain complex IT planning / ATP solutions globally.
• Implement and configure SAP APO-GATP, including characteristics-based product availability and rules-based ATP.
• Manage and troubleshoot various order scenarios, order promising, third-party order shipments, and intercompany business processes.
• Ensure integration with other functional areas and modules like MM and EWM.
• Debug ABAP code related to SAP PP/QM and SCM (APO).
