About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant with APO GATP expertise for a 6+ month onsite role in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in discrete manufacturing industries such as Automotive, Heavy Equipment, Semiconductor Equipment, and Medical Device Manufacturing. This role requires at least one end-to-end implementation experience in SAP PP/QM modules, with a focus on Make-to-Order scenarios using Variant Configuration. Knowledge of QM in procurement, Production in Process QM, Production GR QM, and Quality Notifications is essential. Experience with PP/QM integration to EWM is also required.

Requirements

At least 10 years of overall SAP experience.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP Quality Management (QM).
At least one end-to-end implementation project in PP/QM.
Experience in production support projects.
Experience working directly with business users and resolving their issues.
Good cross-functional integration knowledge with other modules (e.g., MM).
Expert in SAP APO-GATP characteristics-based product availability and rules-based ATP.
At least 7+ years of experience in the GATP area.
At least 2 GATP implementation projects with hands-on configuration experience.
Familiarity with user exits in the GATP area.
Extensive business process knowledge of multiple Order scenarios, Order promising, third-party order shipments, and intercompany business processes.
Mandatory integration knowledge to other functional areas.
Familiarity with system aspects related to Order Creation, fulfillment, Order Processing, Transportation Scheduling, and CIF technologies.
Experience in Discrete manufacturing industry (Automotive, Heavy equipment, semiconductor equipment, medical device manufacturing etc.).
Experience in PP Make to order scenarios with Variant configuration.
Knowledge of QM in procurement, Production in process QM, Production GR QM and Quality notifications.
Knowledge of PP/QM integration to EWM.

Debugging skills in ABAP.

Responsibilities

Provide consulting services for SAP PP/QM modules, focusing on discrete manufacturing environments.
Lead and participate in end-to-end SAP PP/QM implementations.
Configure and support Make-to-Order scenarios with Variant Configuration.
Manage and troubleshoot QM processes including procurement, production, goods receipt, and quality notifications.
Integrate PP/QM modules with EWM.
Act as a functional analyst for SAP SCM (APO), specifically in GATP and SD integration.
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain complex IT planning/ATP solutions globally.
Configure SAP APO-GATP, including characteristics-based product availability and rules-based ATP.
Work with business users to resolve issues and improve system functionality.
Ensure good cross-functional integration knowledge with other modules like MM.
Support Order Creation, fulfillment, Order Processing, Transportation Scheduling, and CIF technologies.
