About The Position

This role involves developing interactive overlays and in-application experiences to guide users through complex processes within SAP and other web applications. The goal is to help users successfully complete tasks, support onboarding and training, and facilitate adoption of new processes or changes. The builder will use application elements, DOM selectors, JavaScript, and conditional logic to create dynamic experiences that respond to user actions and application states. The position is onsite at a customer location in Chantilly, VA, and requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to understand workflows and user needs, ultimately improving how employees interact with enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in developing web-based user experiences and automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and the browser Document Object Model (DOM).
  • Deep understanding of how web applications are structured and how to identify, interact with, and manipulate DOM elements.
  • Ability to use selectors, browser developer tools, and web automation techniques to troubleshoot application behavior and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Understanding of how user roles, behaviors, application states, and business processes influence user experience.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Active TS SCI Polygraph clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive overlays and in-application experiences that guide users through complex processes.
  • Build and configure solutions such as walkthroughs, tooltips, notifications, surveys, contextual guidance, workflow automation, and self-service resources.
  • Use application elements, DOM selectors, JavaScript, and conditional logic to create experiences that respond to user actions and application states.
  • Tailor experiences based on user roles, behaviors, application states, and business requirements.
  • Test experiences across browsers, applications, and scenarios to ensure proper functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain published experiences as underlying applications evolve.
  • Contribute reusable components, development standards, naming conventions, and governance practices for consistent implementation at scale.
  • Collaborate with product, design, business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to understand application workflows and identify points of friction.
  • Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive, contextual solutions.
