About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Materials Management Architect- Functional Consultant for a Hybrid, Contract-to-Hire, Full-Time position in Houston, TX. This role involves leading the design and implementation of SAP MM processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inventory Management, and Material Valuation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system configuration, integration with other SAP modules, leading testing phases, and providing support for troubleshooting and functional specifications. This is a key role requiring strong leadership and technical expertise in SAP MM.

Requirements

• SAP MM Materials Management expertise
• Experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
• Experience in Inventory Management
• Experience in Material Valuation
• Proficiency in SAP MM module configuration
• Experience with SAP MM organization structure, master data, pricing schemas, and consumption-based planning
• Experience integrating SAP MM with FICO, SD, PP, and QM modules
• Experience in leading testing phases (unit testing, UAT)
• Experience in data migration
• Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Process Design Implementation: Lead business workshops to gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and design optimized Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Inventory Management, and Material Valuation processes.
• System Configuration: Configure SAP MM modules, including Organization Structure, Master Data, Pricing Schemas, and Consumption-Based Planning, aligning with industry best practices.
• Integration Management: Ensure seamless data flow by integrating MM with other core SAP modules like FICO (Finance/Controlling), SD (Sales and Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and QM (Quality Management).
• Testing Deployment: Lead the testing phase by preparing test scripts, executing unit tests, managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and handling data migration.
• Support Troubleshooting: Diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex incidents while translating business needs into functional specifications for technical ABAP teams.
• Leadership: Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, internal testing teams, and technical developers.
