SAP iXp Intern - AI & Data Engineer Foundation Model
About The Position
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This program offers a culture of collaboration, project-driven experience, and visibility within SAP. Interns will collaborate with Applied AI Researchers and AI Engineers to support data needs for research projects, develop opportunities to influence SAP’s AI portfolio, and work with cloud platforms for data processing, data lakes, and model training. Interns will gain hands-on experience with Python, Machine Learning/Deep Learning libraries & Knowledge Graphs, develop and maintain data pipelines for structured data powering the training of Foundational Models for Tabular Data, and build innovative tools to enrich and scale the training of large machine models on enterprise software data.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and Deep Learning pre-training & fine-tuning techniques, particularly in the context of structured data.
- Experience in Python for Data Science and experience with Machine Learning framework for Deep Learning.
- Experience with cloud-based Data Lakes & data processing pipeline on large volumes of data (e.g., Azure ML, Databricks, Apache Spark).
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git and familiar with using Unix or windows-based command lines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (ongoing or recently completed)
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge or experience working with SAP ERP Software (such as S/4HANA or ECC) and SAP BTP is a plus.
