SAP Functional Consultant – Procure to Pay (PTP) / Materials Management (MM)
About The Position
Join a mission-critical team modernizing enterprise resource planning for the Department of Defense! As an SAP Functional Consultant supporting the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how procurement and supply chain operations support vital national defense missions. In this dynamic position, you'll serve as a functional expert on SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay processes, partnering with government stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to design and optimize end-to-end procurement solutions. You'll have the opportunity to apply your SAP expertise to meaningful work that directly impacts military readiness and logistics operations across the enterprise. Requirements
- An active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience supporting Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
- Strong understanding of procurement operations, purchasing, inventory management, material master, vendor master, invoice verification, stock management, and procurement reporting
- Proven ability to develop functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements
- Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

- SAP Activate implementation methodology experience
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience integrating PTP/MM with other SAP modules: Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO), Funds Management (FM), Sales & Distribution (SD), Transportation Management (TM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Global Trade Services (GTS)
- Experience with SAP Fiori applications
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM
Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) functionality
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications
- Configure purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, valuation areas, and account determination
- Support the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition through payment, including: Requisition Management and Purchase Orders, Source Determination and Vendor Management, Material Master Data and Inventory Management, Goods Receipt and Invoice Verification, Stock Transfers and Physical Inventory, Procurement Analytics and Reporting
- Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
- Prepare functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW)
- Partner with ABAP developers to design and implement custom enhancements and interfaces
- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Support defect resolution and root cause analysis
- Provide Tier II/Tier III production support for operational issues
- Support data migration for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory master data
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for procurement efficiency and supply chain optimization
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Assist with production deployments, release planning, and system stabilization
- Support cybersecurity, audit, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities
