About The Position

This role involves collaborating with users to understand their processes and identify relevant information within consumption tax processes. The Business Partner will participate in design and development workshops for financial, sales, and procurement processes, and assimilate the financial data model. Key activities include coordinating and executing validation, mapping, cleansing, conversion, and migration of financial data. The role also focuses on identifying and implementing solutions to improve financial processes, specifically consumption tax processes, executing test scenarios, and participating in problem-solving sessions. Additionally, the Business Partner will develop and provide training materials and support to users post-implementation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in administration.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience.
  • Experience with indirect tax processes.
  • Experience in IT project implementation.
  • Strong interest in information systems and technology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • The ability to interact with a variety of personalities.
  • Intellectual curiosity, along with superior analytical and synthesis skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple high-priority files simultaneously.
  • Highly skilled at connecting concepts, simplifying complex situations, and managing change.
  • A desire to learn and an interest in becoming a recognized SAP/sales tax expert within the Finance department.
  • Versatility and leadership.
  • Any relevant experience will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • A professional accounting designation (CPA) and training in sales tax would be considered assets.
  • Knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, and CO) and OneSource tax software is considered an asset.
