About The Position

Accenture is hiring a finance-focused SAP ERP Consultant to help CFOs and controllers transform accounting and finance operations using SAP S/4HANA ERP. The role combines functional expertise in general ledger and sub-ledger processes with consulting, communication, and delivery skills. It involves partnering across business, technology, testing, training, client, and offshore teams to align priorities, solve finance challenges, and support adoption of new ways of working. The consultant will deliver SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs, configure finance solutions, analyze finance data, support implementation and release activities, and apply SAP Business AI and GenAI use cases to finance processes. The role may require travel, ranging from 0% to 100% depending on business needs and client requirements.

Requirements

At least 3 years of functional SAP Finance experience, including hands-on exposure to GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and/or Product Costing.
At least 3 years of hands-on SAP Asset Accounting / Fixed Assets experience, including capitalization, depreciation, and parallel ledger requirements.
At least 2 end-to-end SAP S/4HANA or SAP Finance implementations in a configuration, functional, or delivery role.
At least 3 years of finance transformation consulting experience, including process design, controllership, close optimization, or CFO advisory work.
At least 1 year of experience serving Chemical & Natural Resources clients and/or working in the industry.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 12 years of work experience; alternatively, an Associate’s Degree with at least 6 years of work experience.
For U.S. employment, work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

SAP S/4HANA Finance certification, such as SAP Certified Associate – SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting or Management Accounting.
CPA, CMA, ACCA, MBA, or equivalent accounting/finance credential, completed or in progress.
Experience with SAP Central Finance, Group Reporting, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or SAP Datasphere.
Familiarity with embedding GenAI or agentic AI into close, controls, and reporting processes.
Experience supporting workshops and design decisions across system build, configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live in SAP Finance.
Experience collaborating across cross-functional business, technology, integration, testing, training, client, and offshore teams in a Global Delivery model.

Responsibilities

Engage with finance stakeholders, including controllers, accounting managers, and process owners, to understand current-state pain points and translate them into SAP S/4HANA Finance requirements.
Contribute to business cases, roadmaps, and client presentations explaining the value of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions for CFO priorities.
Design and configure end-to-end finance solutions across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and Product Costing using SAP S/4HANA, Central Finance, and partner solutions.
Analyze finance process data—including chart of accounts, master data, sub-ledger mappings, journals, asset registers, and reconciliations—to inform design, cleanse legacy data, and validate cutover readiness.
Execute and coordinate unit, SIT, and UAT testing, defect triage, cutover activities, and hypercare for SAP Finance releases.
Apply SAP Business AI capabilities and GenAI use cases to improve efficiency in finance close, controls, and reporting processes.
Collaborate with business, technology, integration, testing, training, client, and offshore teams in a Global Delivery model.
Coach analysts and junior team members, contribute to internal assets and best practices, and continue developing SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise.
Travel as required by business needs and client requirements, potentially from 0% to 100%.
