About The Position

Capgemini is seeking a Director/Sr Director level executive for an SAP E2E Solution Architect role. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP technologies, extensive experience in architecting complex SAP S/4 solutions, and in-depth knowledge of SAP modules, coupled with subject matter expertise in core processes within a specific industry sector. This role demands a proven track record of delivering innovative and scalable SAP Solutions. The position involves applying scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems, leading the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions, and continuously updating knowledge of the latest SAP releases and roadmaps. Key aspects include building and maintaining commercially productive relationships with third-party organizations, developing and delivering comprehensive proposal and presentation content, and contributing to the company's knowledge base. The architect will be responsible for owning, planning, and delivering entire proposal responses and oral presentations for opportunities exceeding $50 million TCV, spanning multiple Capgemini lines of business. This includes leading the delivery of solution business blueprints, shaping program strategies and roadmaps, and leading large transformation projects across their full lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of SAP technologies.
  • Extensive experience in architecting complex SAP S/4 solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules.
  • Subject matter expertise with core processes in <Industry> sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative and scalable SAP Solutions.
  • 15+ years professional experience.
  • Expert knowledge in SAP modules and deep understanding of integration into SAP S4/Hana.
  • Recognized externally as an expert in a specific area of the solution.
  • Aptitude and attitude to rapidly pick new technologies or value propositions relevant across Capgemini lines of business.
  • Expert in multiple core business processes, and associated functions, for one industry sector, or a limited number of micro industry sectors.
  • 16+ years of experience with a strong project track record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years professional experience in SAP solution architecture, with a deep understanding of (industry), SAP modules, technologies, and integration points.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of SAP architects in senior management role.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and other SAP technologies (S/4HANA, BTP, current and emerging patterns for a composable enterprise including Analytics, Data, Integration, Best of Breed / Best of Suite for Line of Business solutions, and ability to stitch SAP and non-SAP applications together across the application topology to deliver outcomes for client).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with executives and technical teams.
  • Ability to lead and drive digital transformation initiatives through SAP solutions.
  • Experience in managing relationships with SAP vendors, partners, and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role.
  • Collaborate and act as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
  • Share domain knowledge and encourage peers’ commitment to continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain commercially productive relationships with multiple complementary third-party organizations at a regional level.
  • Develop and deliver proposal and presentation content, as well as marketing materials across multiple areas of expertise, within or across industry sectors.
  • Contribute learnings and content from delivery programs to enrich our body of knowledge for the domain or industry.
  • Own, plan and deliver an entire proposal response from specific reference to a client’s requirements, and or <industry> , including the executive summary, for an opportunity in excess of $50 million, TCV.
  • Lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring the quality of proposal delivery through the mobilization and motivation of appropriate teams.
  • Overcome natural friction and challenges in complex multi-BL proposals to deliver the right solution for the client and for Capgemini as a whole.
  • Understand clients pain points, opportunities, and business context.
  • Create and articulate a north star for the engagement, and the business benefits which the proposal will deliver for the client.
  • Estimate the effort required to deliver the entire scope of a project and propose and optimize resource for opportunities more than $50 million across Capgemini lines of business.
  • Develop and present innovative implementation strategies, including consideration of a client’s budget, cash flow, and time to value.
  • Identify, articulate, and present different commercial strategies (including outcomes-based models) which are appropriate for delivering business outcomes and associated value while being commercially viable to Capgemini.
  • Deliver a compelling presentation to prospective client, key project team members and stakeholders, including directors, across the entire scope of a proposed engagement.
  • Own, plan and deliver an entire oral presentation across Capgemini lines of business for an opportunity of more than $50 million.
  • Lead the delivery of a solution business blueprint that will satisfy business requirements and enable timely and profitable delivery on projects greater than $50 million.
  • Take a leadership role on a program shaping strategy and roadmap across Capgemini lines of business.
  • Lead across the full lifecycle of a large transformation project more than $50M.
