About The Position

Arvato is seeking an SAP Developer to work with technical peers, internal business contacts, and external clients to develop, design, and continually improve its ERP backbone. The position requires strong SAP knowledge and development capabilities, an understanding of integration points and business processes, and strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills.

The role supports new customer projects and change requests for Arvato SCS, including direct interaction with internal stakeholders and external clients. It manages the SAP implementation lifecycle from requirements gathering and process analysis through solution design, implementation, deployment, documentation, user training, and support. The developer also contributes to global process alignment, operational support, and departmental process improvements.

The role is based in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse and packaging environment. A hybrid schedule is offered after six months. Flexibility is required to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and in different warehouse areas. Employees must follow company safety, hygiene, and 7s guidelines and help maintain an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented workplace.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of SAP support or implementation experience.
• At least 3 years of ABAP and debugging experience.
• Experience with ABAP, IDOC, USEREXITS, Open SQL, XML, BAPIs, BADIs, and SAP Queries.
• Expertise in WM, SD, and MM.
• SAP R/3 experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and follow-through ability.
• Ability to work independently in an international environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced packaging environment and perform accurately under stressful conditions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and in different areas of the warehouse.
• Ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of SAP as it relates to warehouse activities.
• Ability to provide high-quality support across all areas of the operation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Adobe Forms, Smartforms, Bartender, and Centralized Output Management.
• RF device and QM experience.
• ITIL certification.
• Expertise in IM, FI, or CRM.
• LES experience.
• Some S/4HANA experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement new customer projects and change requests for Arvato SCS, interacting with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Manage the SAP implementation lifecycle, including gathering requirements, analyzing processes, designing and implementing solutions, deployment, documentation, user training, and user support.
• Set up end-to-end supply chain management processes in the MM, SD, LES, PP, WM, and IM areas.
• Identify data or process issues proactively and work with relevant people to resolve them.
• Work with business users to gather details about SAP issues and categorize issues accurately for timely resolution.
• Contribute to a global IT team responsible for aligning client processes across regions.
• Support departmental process improvements.
• Follow company safety and hygiene regulations and maintain the 7s Program and guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment.
