About The Position

Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Cutover Manager to lead and govern complex ERP transformation deployments. This role is responsible for developing and executing end-to-end cutover strategies, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy environments to SAP S/4HANA while minimizing business disruption. The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, business stakeholders, technical teams, and client executives to plan, coordinate, monitor, and execute critical go-live activities. This position requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, risk mitigation expertise, and experience managing large-scale SAP transformation programs, preferably within SAP S/4HANA Cloud environments. Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the project/engagement/contract/activity on a daily basis and are responsible for delivering high-quality results within the identified objectives and constraints, ensuring the effective use of the allocated resources. They are responsible for risk and issue management, project/engagement communication and stakeholder management. Project managers perform the activities of planning, organising, securing, monitoring and managing the resources and work necessary to deliver specific project goals and objectives in an effective and efficient way. Responsible for ensuring that client needs are satisfied through the formulation, development, implementation and delivery of application solutions in response to client requirements, expressed in approved service requests. PM are responsible for the overall projectorengagement plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. PM ensure that the project meets its deliverables in an agreed schedule, according to the scope, within stipulated budget, and to quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience managing ERP cutover, deployment, or release management activities for large-scale transformation programs.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience planning and executing enterprise-wide go-live events and business transitions.
  • Strong understanding of SAP deployment methodologies, testing cycles, change management, and business readiness practices.
  • Experience facilitating executive-level discussions and providing deployment recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams within complex, matrixed environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience creating deployment dashboards, KPIs, and executive status reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the overall project cutover strategy and organization structure in collaboration with project leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Establish governance models, cutover frameworks, and approval processes for successful deployment execution.
  • Create and manage detailed cutover plans, ensuring alignment across functional, technical, integration, testing, and business teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive execution readiness and ensure all milestones are achieved.
  • Develop project contingency plans and support mitigation strategies for critical business and technology risks.
  • Partner with business leaders to establish and validate Business Continuity Plans.
  • Collaborate with Change Management and Communications teams to develop comprehensive cutover communication plans for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and track Cutover Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and readiness metrics.
  • Facilitate cutover planning sessions, readiness reviews, and executive steering discussions.
  • Lead site coordination activities and conduct regular status, dependency, and risk management meetings.
  • Identify, assess, and manage cutover risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation paths.
  • Establish and lead Cutover War Room activities during deployment and go-live execution.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute cutover dry runs, mock conversions, and rehearsal activities.
  • Manage business ramp-down and ramp-up activities in alignment with deployment objectives.
  • Provide deployment readiness assessments and recommendations supporting Go/No-Go decisions.
  • Monitor execution progress during cutover events and drive rapid issue resolution to ensure business continuity.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization and transition to operational support teams.
