About The Position

The Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) program is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. Interns will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. The SAP Business Analyst SEED Intern's primary role is to assist the Director of Digital Business & Technology Partnerships, project managers, and resource managers from CORP domain to plan, execute, and track projects according to our project management methodology. The Intern will work on analyzing and assessing corporate functions, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing and implementing strategies to enhance business performance. The role also involves managing portfolio tracking and tracking critical items, offering excellent exposure and learning opportunities for those interested in business analysis, IT strategy, and/or project management.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in MIS, Finance, Engineering, Business or related fields with a strong interest in project management.
• Some limited direct work experience is expected (summer jobs, other internships).
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Some familiarity with project management skills (process, deliverables).
• Ability to take a business problem and decompose in smaller more manageable tasks.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
• Strong familiarity with Google Workspace Apps and standard Microsoft Office software and operating systems (Windows NT/2000/XP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Director of Digital Business & Technology Partnerships to analyze and assess corporate functions, including finance, human resources, marketing, and operations.
• Develop a deep understanding of the company's goals, values, and objectives, and use this understanding to inform strategy development.
• Conduct market research and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address business challenges and opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.
• Understand the business context and business objectives of the project.
• Work with Product/Business Owners, Project Management and Technical Staff to perform analyses related to the implementation of new or revised business processes and/or new or enhanced internally developed software or third-party vendor software.
• Draft initial requirements and break down larger scope into smaller pieces if needed.
• Gather and document functional business requirements to be consumed by the business and technical teams for non-custom development projects.
• Proactively manage changes in projects under his/her purview.
• Identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
• Define and measure success criteria.
• Perform lessons learned at the end of his/her internship.
• Work with service desk for his/her project for support transition.
• Coordinate user authority assignments with local user authority managers.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of standard procedures and best practices for system use.
• Assist senior project manager and DB&T partner in producing KPI’s related reporting.
• Attend internal training to increase IT business analysis, project management, and strategy knowledge.
