About The Position

Connsci is seeking a SAP BI Consultant to provide technical and functional support for one of our federal clients. This consultant provides Tier II and Tier III support for SAP Business Intelligence systems, supporting the full lifecycle of BI solutions including analysis, design, development, integration, reporting, dashboards, maintenance, and user enablement. This role operates within a complex SAP landscape including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP BI 7.4, Embedded BI, HANA Studio, Analysis for Office, BOBJ, and Web Intelligence. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, SAP Basis administrators, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to deliver accurate, high-performance BI solutions supporting mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Systems, or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 8 years supporting SAP BI / BW environments
• At least 5 years of experience gathering business requirements and delivering user-facing reporting solutions
• At least 2 years of experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA integrated environments
• At least 2 years of experience with CDS Views, HANA Studio, BEx tools, Web Intelligence, and reporting platforms
• At least 2 years of experience with ETL, data modeling, process chains, and performance tuning

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BI
• SAP HANA Modeling / Analytics
• SAP S/4HANA Analytics or Reporting certification
• Experience supporting SAP BI in a federal or regulated environment
• Familiarity with CUI handling and federal information security practices
• Experience operating in remote / hybrid support models with occasional travel
• Experience delivering executive dashboards and operational reporting modernization

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier II / III support for SAP BI applications, including troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning
• Design and build reporting solutions using HANA Studio, CDS Views, Analytic Query, and BEx Query
• Develop dashboards and analytics solutions using Analysis for Office, Analysis for OLAP, Web Intelligence, and BOBJ tools
• Design BI solutions using S/4HANA technologies including AMDP and SQL Script
• Perform data extraction and ETL processing from SAP and non-SAP data sources
• Develop and maintain data models including star schema, master data, ODS, and cube structures
• Create and manage process chains, start routines, update routines, transfer routines, and scheduled loads
• Improve data flow, data quality, reporting speed, and solution scalability
• Support transport migration to production and maintain quality standards for deliverables
• Support historical data backfill into SAP BI environments
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into reporting and dashboard solutions
• Prepare functional designs, technical specifications, test scripts, and supporting documentation
• Provide onboarding and technical training to BI power users
• Coordinate with Basis, DBA, and infrastructure teams on performance, access, and change management
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
