About The Position

This role is for an SAP Basis and Unix Administrator with typically 7-10 years of work experience in IT or a business environment. The position requires a BS/BA or MBA/MS in computer science, engineering, information systems, math, or business. The administrator will be responsible for installing, monitoring, and upgrading Unix systems and cluster environments (REDHAT, LINUX) within the SAP landscape. Key responsibilities include configuring firewalls, network security, applying patches, and managing TCP/IP and SSH for secure access. The role also involves using Shell, Python, or Perl scripting for automation, hands-on experience with Fiori and S/4 on HANA, and HANA Database administration. Managing storage, implementing backup/restore procedures, disaster recovery, and high availability are crucial. The administrator will maintain multiple SAP instances (development, test, training, production), install and configure SAP Fiori Applications, and troubleshoot/upgrade them. Daily operational activities include object transports, setup/configuration, SAP monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem resolution. A strong understanding of SAP Landscape (NetWeaver, S/4HANA) and underlying databases (HANA, DB2, SQL Server) is essential. Experience working in AWS cloud is an added advantage. The role requires deep technical proficiency, strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, influence, and data-driven decision-making skills. The position involves 24/7 monitoring, service restoration, change management, and day-to-day activities to ensure mission-critical SAP systems meet business service levels. This includes monitoring and ensuring service restoration of infrastructure, applications, and security, while meeting service level agreements. The role provides Help/Service Desk support, coordinates Incident Management, deploys changes to production, and engages third-party providers during incidents. Immediate response to production program or system problems is required. The administrator will deploy, implement, and provision applications and infrastructure according to deployment plans and build guides. The role provides technical expertise and oversight on the production floor, understanding full process requirements (compliance, equipment, regulatory) to resolve production issues. It involves managing complexity across business value, technology, and interaction models, recommending and implementing solutions, identifying emerging issues, and conducting independent analysis. Establishing strong relationships within IT and business units is key for collaboration. Performance monitoring and issue resolution are ongoing. The role participates in regulatory inspections and works with operations personnel to improve production and equipment reliability and compliance. It provides end-to-end technology support, including computer, applications, network, and storage, along with root-cause analysis. The administrator will drive new processes, systems, technology, and operations to enhance performance, with flexibility to align with project requirements. Proactive system performance monitoring and identification of operational improvements are expected to ensure smooth customer and business partner delivery. Support for deployment activities and management of implementation issues to resolution are part of the role. Initial triage, investigation, and ensuring fast turnaround times on issue/incident resolution are critical. Monitoring technical infrastructure, applications, and business transactions through automated systems is required. Collaboration and engagement across the bank are necessary, understanding organizational interactions and complexity. Identifying opportunities to strengthen operational capability, such as sharing expertise, mentoring, and building communities of practice, is encouraged. Staying abreast of industry trends through professional associations and continuous learning is important. Requirements
