About The Position

This is a 6-month contract position for a Senior Technical SAP ABAP Developer located at the company's HQ in Houston, TX, near the Energy Corridor. The role requires the candidate to be able to come into the office 4 days a week and work remotely 1 day a week. This position is for local candidates to Houston, TX, and no relocation will be provided. The industry is Fortune 500 oil/gas.

Requirements

• 12+ years of SAP ABAP experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of technical experience as an ABAP developer.
• Experience in one or more of the following modules: FI, MM, or SD.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Good Analytical skills.
• Good Problem Solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong functional understanding in one or more of FI/MM/SD areas, especially Finance, accounting & pricing.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP development using ABAP concepts including ABAP workbench, Data Dictionary, Classes, ABAP Object-Oriented, Module-pool programming, Forms Development, LSMW, RFC's, BAPI's, BDC's, user exits, BADI's, enhancement spots, Interface programming, Job Scheduling, ALV Reports.

• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SAP ABAP solutions.
• Utilize ABAP concepts including ABAP workbench, Data Dictionary, Classes, ABAP Object-Oriented, Module-pool programming, Forms Development, LSMW, RFC's, BAPI's, BDC's, user exits, BADI's, enhancement spots, Interface programming, Job Scheduling, and ALV Reports.
• Apply strong functional understanding in FI/MM/SD modules, particularly in Finance, accounting, and pricing.
• Analyze and solve technical problems.
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally.
