SAP ABAP Developer || Part-time || Remote
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer for an as-needed, part-time engagement providing technical support for an existing SAP environment and assisting with SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) and Employee Central Payroll (ECP) integration. The developer will collaborate with client technical teams to maintain SAP interfaces, resolve production issues, support automation, and assist with integration among SAP on-premise HCM, SuccessFactors, and non-SAP systems. The role is listed as remote, with Jackson, Mississippi, given as the location; interviews are conducted by video. Support will be requested based on the client’s project and operational requirements. The work includes SAP ABAP application development and maintenance, integration support, SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) by Redwood monitoring and troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, workflow maintenance, and support for SAP Portal and Web Dynpro applications as needed.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of SAP ABAP development experience, with strong ABAP OOP skills.
- Functional knowledge of at least three SAP areas: Finance, CRM, Logistics, SRM, SUS/ROS, MDM, or HCM.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting an operational SAP system for a public-sector client.
- At least 3 years of experience with SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) by Redwood.
- Advanced analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with SuccessFactors Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), ideally integrating EC/ECP with SAP on-premise HCM and non-SAP systems.
- Knowledge of the State of Mississippi MAGIC system.
- SAP Portal support experience; 2+ years preferred.
- Experience with Web Dynpro.
- Workflow development and maintenance experience; 2+ years preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and maintain SAP ABAP applications using object-oriented programming (OOP).
- Support interfaces and integrations between SAP and non-SAP applications.
- Assist with SuccessFactors EC/ECP integration with SAP on-premise HCM and other systems.
- Support SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) by Redwood, including job monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Perform advanced root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for SAP technical issues.
- Maintain SAP workflows and support SAP Portal and Web Dynpro applications as needed.
- Collaborate with functional teams and client resources on testing, incident resolution, and system enhancements.
