About The Position

Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrée’s and more. Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli. We are seeking Sanitation workers to join the Sanitation department at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant. The Sanitor position is an hourly, non-exempt position that starts at 8:30AM (6AM for the washroom) from Monday-Friday with flexible end times according to production needs. Candidates who are dedicated, consistent, and organized with a background in cleaning in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in cold and warm environments.
• Must pass an extensive pre-employment criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all food production areas and the equipment used in the production of food.
• Maintain a clean plant in all areas, including non-production areas like the office.
• Ensure proper equipment cleaning to avoid cross contamination.
• Assist with waste removal from production areas.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely for cleaning processes.
• Follow established procedures.
• Disassemble machines to clean and re-assemble them for production.
• Work in the washroom to facilitate equipment cleaning for use during production (6AM start time)
