Responsible for all aspects of the pot and pan cleaning process as required by department standards, regulatory requirements and assigned task list. This includes setting up and closing down the pot and pan area, cleaning, sanitizing, air drying, and putting away all pots/pans and serving utensils. The role also involves maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area, notifying supervisors of any safety hazards, and documenting sanitizer solutions. Additionally, the Sanitationist is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all assigned equipment in the food service department, sweeping and mopping assigned areas, removing trash and grease bins, and picking up daily supplies of clean rags. Adherence to department safety, sanitation, service/communication standards, including correct body mechanics, proper chemical usage, and practicing "clean as you go" is essential. The role requires effective verbal and written communication, sound decision-making, attendance at meetings and training sessions, and adherence to hospital and department dress codes. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
