About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the warehouse, offices, and other work areas. The Sanitation team member will use approved chemicals and equipment to clean, disinfect, and sanitize surfaces, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience in operating cleaning equipment.
Responsibilities
- Clean warehouse, offices, hallways, break room, rest rooms, and other work areas.
- Use approved chemicals to clean, disinfect and sanitize surfaces.
- Use vacuum cleaner to maintain all carpeted areas.
- Empty trash containers and transport waste to disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom and break room supplies.
- Keep all walkways clean.
- Operate scrubber machine to clean warehouse floors.
- May perform light maintenance.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and maintain regular work attendance.
- Take personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and/or GMP guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Report any accidents or hazards immediately to supervisor.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
