About The Position

The Sanitation position will clean, wash, scrub, rinse, sterilize, and/or sanitize equipment and work areas in order to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. May use high-pressure hoses or nozzles, dry cleaning methods, or other cleaning and sanitizing methods as directed. Sanitation must be mindful of water usage; ensure solids are not washed down drains; and the spray from hoses is controlled and not directed at people, electrical equipment, or other equipment that may be damaged from water. This position must keep areas and walkways cleared for safety reasons by doing such things as putting away hoses to avoid trips and cleaning up messes that are not specifically outlined on their checklists. Sanitation must always keep food safety and personnel safety a priority through the proper mixing of, handling, and use of industrial-strength chemicals and cleaning agents.

Requirements

  • Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and items weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Able to tolerate dust or chemicals.
  • Must not be affected by moving equipment and machinery.
  • Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, climbing, crawling, grasping, crouching, and performing repetitive motions as required.
