About The Position

To sanitize and clean processing area and equipment, following guidelines of Simmons Foods and government regulations. This role participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives. The position requires performing other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.

Requirements

• Be able to efficiently work in a plant environment.
• Regularly required to stand, reach and move about the facility.
• Light to moderate physical effort required.
• Work in temperature extremes.
• Work in a wet, noisy environment.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment or supplies anywhere from floor to above shoulder level.
• Walk up and down ladders, climb into small tight spaces.
• Will use water resistant/slip resistant footwear, eye protection, gloves, apron, hearing protection, hair net(s) and other protective equipment as needed or required.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for poultry or food processing organization.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas using handheld high pressure cleaning hoses and equipment, broom, squeegee or hands.
• Ensures the equipment and work areas are cleaned in a manner consistent with established requirements.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment according to established time constraints and quality standards to allow production to begin on time.
• Follows guidelines for proper use and safety of chemicals and equipment.
• Participates as a member of the Team, fostering strong cohesiveness and supporting Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
