About The Position

Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the division building and related property. This role involves working in various temperature zones, including dry goods, cooler, and freezer environments (-10 to 100 degrees). The position offers weekly pay and benefits starting on the first day.

Requirements

  • High School education or GED preferred.
  • Previous custodial experience preferred.
  • Able to read and write legibly.
  • Able to follow orders.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Experience in operation of warehouse equipment to include: reach trucks, pallet jacks, sweeper, floor scrubber, bailer, hydraulic trash compactor.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push/pull, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, manipulate objects, and twist.
  • Must be able to lift 1-10 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs occasionally, 25-50 lbs occasionally, and 50-100 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to carry 1-10 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs occasionally, 25-50 lbs occasionally, and 50-100 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to push/pull 5-100 pounds occasionally/frequent.
  • Must be able to climb/balance occasionally.
  • Must be able to stoop/squat frequent/constant.
  • Must be able to kneel/bend frequent/constant.
  • Must be able to bend frequent/constant.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder occasionally.
  • Must be able to grasp objects frequent/constant.
  • Must be able to manipulate objects frequent/constant.
  • Must be able to twist occasionally/frequent.

Responsibilities

  • Sweeps and cleans the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
  • Empties trash bins and cleans the trash area daily; operates the trash compactor when applicable.
  • Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
  • Cleans up any spills or breakages of inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per government and U.S. Foodservice food safety requirements.
  • Performs light maintenance duties as assigned, such as replacement of light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, paper and shrink wrap collection pickup, and checking freezer and cooler for leaks or ice build up.
  • Prepares various reports and forms to document cleaning schedule, spillages, product damage, etc. May track and order maintenance supplies.
  • May clean other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, test kitchens, and offices.
  • Maintains facility grounds and dumpster areas.
  • Operates scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift if required to perform duties.
