About The Position

Himalayan Dog Chew/Prairie Dog Pet Products is seeking reliable, motivated individuals to join their fast-paced, growing team in Olathe, Colorado. This role is responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitizing of raw and finished goods processing and packaging departments to ensure production can begin on time, meeting company and government regulations. The ideal candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, safety-focused, punctual, and motivated.

Requirements

  • Must be able to contently lift up to 75 pounds by yourself.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach and move heavy things for the duration of shift.
  • At the least, able to understand directions given in English and able to respond accordingly.
  • Ability to read and interpret work specifications.
  • Able to use box cutter when necessary.
  • Basic Math skills: ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of measurement and quantity measurements.
  • Must know how to use a scale, know the mass unit such as ounces, pounds, and grams for measuring our cheese products.
  • Must have good attendance and be able to show up on time for your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw and finished goods processing and packaging departments.
  • Meet company and Government regulated specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time.
  • Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers and hoses.
  • Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.
  • Turn valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or abrasives from sprayer nozzles.
  • Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
  • Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP’s and following all company safety standards.
