About The Position

As a Sanitation Worker, you will play a key role in cleaning production equipment, machines, and work areas. Responsibilities will include handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, preparing sanitizers, preparing chemical concentrations, handling, and storing the chemicals, and managing chemical accidents, dry clean-up and disposing of waste. Your day-to-day may consist of: Clean, sanitize, and inspect plant equipment to meet quality and safety standards, including after-construction detailing. Operate around large processing equipment using chemicals, ensuring proper use of power tools and required safety gear (PPE). Assist with transporting heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, crouching, and working on lifts, ladders, or in construction zones. Collaborate effectively with the team under stressful conditions, following supervisor instructions and safety protocols. Maintain necessary certifications including scissor lift and high lift, and perform all tasks in a safe manner to prevent hazards. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required. Available Shift: PM Shift (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule, shift differential offered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate strong paperwork, documentation, and reading comprehension skills relevant to job duties.

  • Demonstrates strong technical ability with a digital-first approach, embracing new technologies and accurately entering data.

  • Physically capable of performing essential duties, including lifting and moving water and chemical hoses, equipment, and containers weighing 20–80 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Adapt to working in environments that are wet, humid, and subject to extreme temperature changes.
  • Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.
