About The Position

The Sanitation Technician follows procedures and standard operating procedures to clean production equipment and help ensure safety and hygiene. The position may involve recording sanitation activities and issues, and updating a supervisor or manager on progress and non-routine issues. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.
• Must be capable of being productive on a second-shift schedule.
• Regularly stand; occasionally sit, walk, stoop, or crouch, and ascend or descend stairs where facilities are multi-level.
• May occasionally move up to 45–50 pounds with a hoist, pallet jack, or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience in a sanitation production environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize idle production equipment according to established procedures.
• Wet wash rooms and production lines.
• Complete required reports reflecting sanitation activity.
• Advise the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Update a supervisor or manager on progress and non-routine issues.
