About The Position

Step Up to the Plate as Our Part-Time Sanitation Technician! At Home Run Inn, we believe pizza should do more than fill you up—it should lift you up. Behind every great pizza is an incredible team, and keeping our production environment clean, safe, and ready to go is a huge part of making that happen. If you're someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, works well independently, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, we'd love to meet you. As our Sanitation Technician, you'll help keep our food manufacturing facility clean, safe, and ready for production. You'll be trained on the proper techniques for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, machines, work areas, and common spaces. You'll also learn how to safely handle cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment while following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety requirements. It's hands-on work that makes a big difference.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and move throughout an extended shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English
  • Ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals and follow SDS instructions
  • Ability to work with high-pressure water equipment
  • Willingness to complete scissor lift training and certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including off-shifts and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Keeping our production areas clean and sanitary
  • Perform daily sanitation of processing lines and production equipment
  • Clean and sanitize production lines, ingredient rooms, hallways, and other facility areas
  • Dispose of waste in common areas
  • Clean breakrooms and test kitchen appliances
  • Use water pressure equipment, foam, chlorine, quat sanitizer, degreaser, and other approved cleaning products
  • Use a squeegee to dry floors and move conveyors or tables as needed
  • Cover motors, gearboxes, and emergency stops when needed during cleaning
  • Follow all company safety, GMP, and food safety requirements
  • Properly prepare, handle, store, and use cleaning chemicals
  • Read chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to understand proper handling procedures
  • Report potential contamination issues and safety concerns
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Learn to safely operate a scissor lift and become certified
  • Work independently while also supporting the sanitation team
  • Stay organized and pay attention to the details
  • Display a strong work ethic and take pride in your work
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
