About The Position

This role is responsible for sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures. The team member must be able to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations. This includes participating in the PJHA process, Observation process, and complying with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures. The role involves assisting in formulating sanitation standards and work procedures, providing feedback on service delivery discrepancies, and maintaining adherence to the published work schedule, including overtime as required. Communication with team leads, supervisors, and customers is essential for accomplishing tasks and developing customer relations. The position requires meeting physical requirements and performing assigned tasks safely, effectively, and efficiently, along with accurate and timely administrative duties.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
  • Ability to follow "Safety First" expectations, including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
  • Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
  • Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
  • Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
  • Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
  • Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • 2 years in industrial cleaning desired but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Must have working knowledge and be able to operate the following: skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand / power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures.
  • Washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping.
  • Assisting in formulating sanitation standards and work procedures.
  • Providing work order feedback on discrepancies noted in service delivery.
  • Operating skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
  • Effectively communicating with team lead, supervisor, and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
  • Maintaining adherence to the published work schedule and being available to work overtime as required.
  • Working from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
  • Maintaining communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
  • Working all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
  • Performing other work as defined by company and/or customer.
  • Cleaning process screens with a concentrated solution daily (CC - Caustic Cleaners).
  • Ensuring compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieving performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
  • Communicating with all team members to assist in the development of short- and long-range planning in assistance of the company’s goals.
  • Meeting physical requirements of the job.
  • Performing assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
  • Completing accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
  • Maintaining positive customer and employee relations.
