About The Position

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, supporting quality assurance, and completing required sanitation documentation. The role involves disassembling and assembling production equipment, operating sanitation equipment, recording measurements, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining safe and sanitary conditions throughout the plant. Close communication and coordination with various departments are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble production lines.
  • Operation of Sanitation Equipment Such as Foamers, COP Troughs, and Floor Scrubber.
  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals and their uses and precautions.
  • Knowledge of soils and soil elimination.
  • Ability to accurately perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division functions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Regular attendance is an essential part of this function.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently clean and sanitize the dressing and mayonnaise production process equipment.
  • Support quality assurance activities.
  • Complete all required sanitation documentation in a timely manner.
  • Disassemble and assemble other production equipment.
  • Operate sanitation equipment such as Foamers, COP Troughs, and Floor Scrubber.
  • Organize and accurately perform all job functions required to fulfill plant sanitation standards.
  • Take action necessary to ensure continuous optimal sanitation.
  • Complete required reports.
  • Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout the plant.
  • Communicate clearly with others in process, packaging, and support positions.
  • Safely operate pallet jack to move materials.
  • Coordinate system cleaning so that work is done efficiently and correctly.
  • Follow and adhere to safety, operating, AIB, and GMP procedures.
  • Train co-workers in operation of system and procedures as directed.
  • Other functions as required.
