About The Position

The Sanitation Technician I follows standard operating procedures to clean and sanitize production equipment, rooms, and production lines to support safety and hygiene. The role may involve recording sanitation activities and issues, completing required reports, advising a supervisor when supplies need to be ordered, and updating a supervisor or manager on progress or non-routine issues. The employee must be able to work across shifts, including weekends, and will be trained and certified to use a scissor lift and perform Lock Out/Tag Out protocols.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or Sanitation Supervisor.
Ability to work productively across shifts, including weekends.
Ability to regularly stand and lift up to 50 pounds; occasional movement of up to 50–75 pounds with a hoist, pallet jack, or cart.
Ability to occasionally sit, walk, stoop, or crouch, and to ascend or descend stairs where facilities are multi-level.
Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the location of application; sponsorship for work authorization is unavailable.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize idle production equipment according to established procedures.
Wet wash rooms and production lines.
Complete required reporting to reflect sanitation activities.
Advise the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
Update the supervisor or manager on progress and non-routine issues.
Use a scissor lift for cleaning tasks at heights of up to 20 feet above the plant floor, following applicable safety guidelines.
Perform Lock Out/Tag Out protocols on production equipment after training and certification.
