Requirements

  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas: nomenclature of all assigned equipment and products, and plant quality standards.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner.
  • Thorough understanding of the operating principles of all assigned equipment.
  • Possesses an interest in and an aptitude of mechanics.
  • Ability to work independently within parameters set by management.
  • Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper equipment sanitation and efficient shutdown and start-ups through an understanding of the manufacturing process and equipment designs.
  • Work with chemical provider to manage chemical inventory and needs.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement, foster a sense of team responsibility for achieving goals and supporting plants metrics.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning
  • Maintain sanitation logs and documentation accurately
  • Follow the food safety program, quality standards, and legality of products manufactured in the facility.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP and SQF regulations.
  • Comply with GMP’s in the plant.
  • Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standard of conduct.
  • Maintains an awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace by attending scheduled training sessions.
