About The Position

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, performs a wide variety of sanitation work in the warehouses, building interiors, administration areas, conference room, lunchroom, GMP area sanitization, and other areas as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two or more years’ experience in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to recognize audible hazards.
  • Follow GMP, PPE, and company safety policies in performance of job duties.
  • Maintain good attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Empty trash, mop and vacuum floors of administration areas, conference room, lunchroom, reception area and laboratory room.
  • Mop and clean in warehouse areas as needed, while managing the use of mop head, buckets and floor scrubber.
  • Consistently strive to maintain a clean facility that conforms to food-grade guidelines.
  • Remove trash and recycling from the areas mentioned above.
  • Document and update cleaning documentation.
  • Assume responsibility for security checks on all building doors before leaving at night.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Physically able to do continuous bending, reaching and kneeling.
  • Clean large warehouse areas.
  • Sanitize large warehouse areas.
  • Perform monthly inventory of kitchen and janitorial supplies, as needed.
