About The Position

This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production or other plant equipment as assigned. The Sanitation Tech will also disassemble and re-assemble machinery, maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion, and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders without restriction, and clean overhead areas using a boom and scissor lift. Additionally, the role involves performing confined space entry and working in outside storage silos. The Machine Cleaner must support all plant safety, quality, SAP, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives, which may include serving as a 5S Leader and actively participating in audits. Collaboration within a team environment and maintaining a positive attitude are essential.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders without restriction.
Must be able to work overtime.
Must be able to work other hours including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to perform confined space entry/work in outside storage silos.
Must be able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Candidate selection will be based on seniority as a primary consideration for awarding regular hourly positions.
Consideration will also be given to attendance record, safety record, disciplinary record, quality of work, peer relationships, job performance, previous work history and experience.
Only candidates meeting eligibility criteria in all categories will be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform other operator-driven reliability (ODR) duties including, but not limited to, cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating as assigned by supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor and/or manager.
