About The Position

The Sanitation Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and implementing our company’s sanitation policies in line with the company, state health and safety regulations. You will also be required to conduct daily sanitation inspections, and oversee staff training. To be successful as a Sanitation Supervisor, you should demonstrate strong leadership skills, detailed knowledge of the food and beverage industry, and a good eye for detail. A top-notch Sanitation Supervisor ensures all areas are always up to code and running efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 years of management experience with increasing levels of responsibility within facilities services or other service-related field preferred
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations
  • Strong customer service skills are required with the ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify strong talent that compliments and contributes to the client’s environment
  • Experience in working with outside vendors, accounts payable/receivable, and budget management preferred
  • Proficiency using the Internet and Microsoft Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Supervising duties including, professional development within the team, communication with staff members, performance reviews, and personal responsibility for the team
  • Office Services including organizing and managing daily activities and events, project and move management, development of office standards and policies and procedures, management of vendor contracts, new hire orientation assistance, communication of events or service announcements, monthly newsletter, and maintenance of intranet pages
  • Inspecting the manufacturing process to determine sanitation protocols.
  • Designing and implementing sanitation policies and protocols.
  • Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules.
  • Creating and distributing work schedules for the sanitation workers
  • Performing daily inspections of the manufacturing facility and reporting any irregularities.
  • Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.
  • Providing feedback to company managers and advising on manufacturing changes.
  • Monitoring the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Training sanitation workers and organizing refresher workshops for existing staff.
  • Coordinating the services of contractors and external cleaning crews.
