About The Position

As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will be a hands-on leader, expert and advocate. You'll be responsible to deploy, monitor and enhance sanitation programs to assure processes are effective and meet company standards. You will lead sanitation crews to include the coordination of CIP and manual cleaning activities, partner training, inspection and continuous process improvement efforts. This role is 100% on-site at our Fairview Plant, in Carthage Missouri. This is an off-shift, scheduled to work Friday - Tuesday, 11 pm to 7 am. This shift qualifies for the off-shift bonus outlined below. Additional compensation provided: Relocation Benefits: Receive a $10,000 relocation bonus plus a generous relocation package if relocating more than 50 miles for the position. Off shift bonus up to $10,000 annually available for shifts that qualify. Extra shift bonus available when working beyond regular schedule.

Requirements

High School –GED
3-7 years of experience in Food Manufacturing environment.
Sanitation or quality control related desired.
Proficient in sanitation procedures and GMP/IAB requirements within a food manufacturing environment.
Clear understanding of quality, OSHA, FDA and USDA food safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
Effective in teaching specific sanitation procedures.
Strong decision making ability.
Works well with limited direction.
Interacts well with others and can develop a cohesive working relationship with partners who do not directly report to them.
Efficient in the use of Microsoft computer programs such as Word and Excel.
Effective communicator.
Ability to travel up to 5%
Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
Schreiber requires that an employee have authorization to work in the country in which the role is based.
In the event, an applicant does not have current work authorization, Schreiber will determine, in its sole discretion, whether to sponsor an individual for work authorization. However, based on immigration requirements, not all roles are suitable for sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

A technical degree in Food, Dairy, Biology, Chemistry or related field. Is preferred, but not required.
Federal or State governmental compliance agency audit positions related to food manufacturing a plus.
Food Plant sanitation certification; pest and rodent control licenses is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead plant sanitation activities.
Work with sanitation crews as well as leadership, production, maintenance, quality, other functions to effectively clean/sanitize equipment and plant prior to resuming operation.
Ensure processes are deployed effectively and efficiently.
Responsible for crew performance through the use of training, coaching and performance feedback to assure delivery of effective sanitation processes.
Monitor compliance through hands-on monitoring, inspection, swabbing and coaching.
Maintain and administer plant sanitation records; use as a tool to monitor performance and improve sanitation practices based on results.
Includes but not limited to pre-operation inspection, equipment swabbing, environmental monitoring processes.
Administer, maintain and monitor conformance to Master Sanitation Schedule.
Work closely with production and maintenance partners to establish effective sanitation practices necessary to maintain a food safe environment.
Coordinate training of sanitation and janitorial partners on required job responsibilities.
Deploy plant training modules; utilize internal resources and external expertise for partner development.
Work with internal experts and suppliers to evaluate performance of existing suppliers of cleaning agents and technologies.
Optimize resources through effective scheduling and coordination of lean but effective sanitation processes.
Maintain a partner safe work environment through deployment and monitoring of JHA, lock-out/tag out and MSDS training and monitoring processes.
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.
Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups.
Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met.
Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
