About The Position

As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate activities of employees engaged in duties concerned with sanitation program in the production-processing department. Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Sanitation production department. Monitor and supervise the department to ensure the highest standards are met and safe work practices are enforced. Responsible for facility meeting Federal and State requirements of sanitation. We're currently hiring a Sanitation Supervisor for 3rd Shift schedule starting 8:00pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).

Requirements

  • Must have three to five years relevant work experience with sanitation responsibilities with at least 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment and prioritize workload.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization.
  • Must be familiar with company GMP's and safety programs.
  • Must be able to speak effectively in front of others.
  • Must be able to effectively supervise others.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments

Nice To Haves

  • Associated Degree desired.

Responsibilities

  • Explain and demonstrate sanitation and safety procedures with employees.
  • Inspect premises for unsanitary practices or conditions.
  • Review and verify time clock reports.
  • Responsible for Plant Master Sanitation are performed as scheduled.
  • Responsible for Master Sanitation Implementation.
  • Direct cleaning of company equipment and work areas.
  • Confer with management, production personnel, and maintenance department on sanitation problems and recommend changes in equipment or work practices to improve sanitation standards and comply with changes in Federal and State sanitation regulations.
  • Compile required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety standards are met, and required safety training occurs.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all sanitation and production costs, efficiencies and quality standards are met.
  • Cross train employees on equipment operations.
  • When production is in operation, monitor cheese quality for consistency and total overall quality. Take immediate corrective action when quality or efficiency issues develop.
  • Ensure that safety and GMP's are being followed.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Attend all department and company required training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
