About The Position

Hours: 2nd Shift Monday- Friday 6pm-2:30am Pay: $17.00 hour Job Description * Clean and sanitize processing area and equipment, following guidelines of U.S.D.A. during evening shift. * Disassemble, handle, and reassemble equipment in a manner that maintains the conditions and food safety of the equipment at all times. * Ensure that cleaning chemical concentrations, cleaning times, temperatures and flows meet personal safety, food safety and cleaning standards * Follow all sanitation, general plant, area-specific and equipment specific safe practices and GMP standards * Safely and efficiently operate Clean In Place and Clean Out of Place systems * Complete all documentation, communication and record-keeping requirements accurately, on time and in a professional manner * Inspect sanitation work and follow up as appropriate to ensure that all operating and sanitation standards have been met to ensure a safe and effective on-time start of plant processing and equipment. * Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ability to be organized, self-motivated, work as a team in a fast paced work environment
  • The ability to understand and execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP's) and best practices safely, consistently and effectively
  • Able to organize and prioritize in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Able to understand and follow Chemical & Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and policies, once trained.
  • Communicate with peers, subordinates, and leaders in an effective, timely manner.
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related-problems.
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.
  • Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing sanitation role is preferred
  • Cleaning or chemical sanitation experience/training or equivalent.
