About The Position

The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for supporting sanitation pre-operational inspections to ensure the quality of product is consistent with Company expectations and customer requirements. This role supports the execution of sanitation programs to maintain plant cleanliness and adequate documentation. The specialist will administer sanitation pre-operational inspections, ensuring that the equipment meets sanitary standards and is approved to begin production run. They will document sanitation activities, including inspection results, chemical monitoring, and completion of cleaning activities. Additionally, the specialist will provide support to sanitation employees to accomplish daily tasks, ensuring they have the appropriate tools and are following proper sanitation protocol. Effective communication and sound decision-making informed by Company sanitation standards are crucial. The role involves completing detailed inspections on equipment and supporting cross-functional teams by ensuring that identified deviations are addressed through sanitation processes, mitigating the risk of out-of-spec product. Sample collection for equipment cleanliness verifications and assuring a safe and sanitary work environment are also key responsibilities. All employees are expected to perform tasks according to safety policies and procedures and to produce products that exceed quality and value expectations by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in the Safe Quality Food Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing sanitation processes and related equipment.
  • Ability to provide support and communicate clearly.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve routine issues.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work without relocation.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • SAP experience.

Responsibilities
