About The Position

The Sanitation Porter will be responsible for keeping working areas in the production department in a clean and orderly condition. This operation is to be performed to keep safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory and Stratas Foods procedures and policies.

Requirements

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
1+ year of experience in janitorial, sanitation, or facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices
Understands Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards.
Ability to read and follow safety instructions and cleaning schedules.
Strong attention to detail to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the plant's food safety culture and complying with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the position.
Clean and sanitize production floors in accordance with facility cleaning schedules.
Remove trash and food waste from designated areas; ensure waste is disposed of properly.
Sweep, mop, scrub floors; operate floor-cleaning equipment as required.
Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and entryways.
Assist with cleaning production areas needed.
Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain accurate chemical usage logs.
Ensure compliance with GMPs and all company safety policies.
Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Support special cleaning projects during plant shutdowns or as directed.
Adapts to shifting priorities and assists wherever needed to meet company goals
