This is a full-time position responsible for operating and disassembling equipment such as blenders, cookers, fryers, mixers, and packing machines and any other equipment as assigned for cleaning, sanitizing work areas and setting up equipment for inspection at start-up, while also adhering to food safety practices and company policies. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. This role requires the ability to operate production machine equipment, inspect and monitor product, disassemble equipment for cleaning, and set up equipment for inspection and start-up. The position also involves cleaning assigned equipment using high-pressure hoses and chemical cleaners, examining machine parts for wear, preparing equipment for reassembly, and ensuring guards are properly replaced. Adherence to USDA and Quality Control Regulations is mandatory. Communication and coordination with other departments are necessary for efficient equipment maintenance. Proper use and wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, along with safe use of tools and maintaining an orderly work area. Responsibilities include proper storage/disposal of chemicals, Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and obtaining Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification. The role may involve other duties assigned by the supervisor.
